Maasvlakte 1 en 2 / Hoek van Holland (087/2019) (087/2019)
Op zaterdag 25 mei 2019 tussen 09:00 uur en 16:30 uur vindt er een grootschalige massa-evacuatieoefening plaats tussen Maasvlakte 1 en 2 en Hoek van Holland.
In de Prinses Arianehaven aan Palen 90 zal de “Pride of Hull” afgemeerd worden en zullen reddingssloepen en reddingsvlotten (met hierin ongeveer 350 figuranten) door de Kustwacht en KNRM gered worden. De totale oefening beslaat verder de gebieden; Prinses Margriethaven, Prinses Amaliahaven, Prinses Alexiahaven, Yangtzekanaal, Europahaven, Beerkanaal, 8e Petroleumhaven, Pistoolhaven, Berghaven, Calandkanaal en Nieuwe Waterweg. Alle geredde figuranten zullen uiteindelijk overgebracht worden naar de Berghaven in Hoek van Holland, waar een COPI (Coördinatie Plaats Incident) van de Veiligheidsregio Rotterdam-Rijnmond is ingericht.
De scheepvaart in de genoemde gebieden wordt dringend verzocht bijzondere voorzichtigheid in acht te nemen in relatie tot de bij de oefening gebruikte vaartuigen.

1. On Saturday, 25 May 2019 between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., there will be a large-scale mass evacuation exercise that extends from port areas in Maasvlakte 1 and 2 to Hoek van Holland.
2. For this exercise, the ‘Pride of Hull’ will be moored at Dolphin 90 in Prinses Arianehaven. The Coast Guard and the boatmen of KNRM will be rescuing around 350 stand-ins on board lifeboats and life rafts. Besides Prinses Arianehaven, the exercise will extend across the following areas: Prinses Margriethaven, Prinses Amaliahaven, Prinses Alexiahaven, Yangtzekanaal, Europahaven, Beerkanaal, 8e Petroleumhaven, Pistoolhaven, Berghaven, Calandkanaal and Nieuwe Waterweg. All rescued stand-ins will ultimately be transported to Berghaven in Hoek van Holland, where the Rotterdam-Rijnmond Safety Region organisation has set up an Incident Coordination Location, or COPI (Coördinatie Plaats Incident).
3. Vessels moving through the aforementioned areas on 25 May are urgently asked to exercise special caution in relation to the vessels used during the exercise.
